Where is all the audience data? Addressing publishing’s blind spot
Description: Publishing is far behind other creative industries in measuring fans and audiences. Publishers can close this gap with real-time intelligence on reader growth, engagement, and interests that sharpens how they market, sell, and acquire books.
Ben Santucci (CEO of Showcase Books)
16:30h Company: Sinsonte Tech
Title: New tech tools for booksellers in the readers communication
Description: Communication with readers through channels such as WhatsApp is already part of the everyday work of many bookstores. This workshop proposes to look at that practice from within: how it is managed, what problems it creates, and what decisions are involved when technology is introduced. Drawing on the experience of Sinsonte —including developments such as Sinsonte Vision, focused on the use of images in managing space and collections— the session will explore how to organise these processes without losing the relationship with the reader, distinguishing between what can be systematised and what should remain a matter of human mediation.

AI Is Not Replacing Translators. It’s Exposing What We Never Did Well.
Description: Literary translation involves complex analytical decisions that almost never get documented. AI didn’t create this problem, it made it impossible to ignore. This session presents a structured pre-translation methodology developed from practice, designed to make that invisible work explicit and editorially useful.
